A El Dorado Expedition

A dual meaning poem for today

We few are on race in pursuit of El Dorado.

When we’ve started we can’t recollect.

It might be early morning, sun was young.

Are we tired? No…

We’ve smoke, drink, foiled meals abundance.

Are we worried? Shall we…

Our heart is full of impetus that of a “killer”

Now leave me…I don’t want to be fall back…

Am not in pursue of some castle, poet

Am in pursuit of the El Dorado…

One last thing…is there a maiden…

Oh…love…what is that poet…no…stop…

Am falling back…I shall reach the El Dorado first…

  1. That’s so apt Sangbad, you are so busy chasing that contentment, that peace of mind which we always think lies in next big thing or next small thing, ignoring what we have now is all that we need for today ☺️☺️
Brilliant Work, I loved the way you drafted those words and also learnt a new word ‘El Dorado’
    Thanks ☺️☺️

    1. Yes…he is…we all are running in pursuit of satisfaction i.e. El Dorado and for that all other things are becoming or transforming to distractions…even love…this is what I had wanted to say in this poem of mine…
