Strangers

 

She was with her boyfriend or fiancée

And me with my sister and brother.

I remember she has big beady eyes and a spread-over-lip smile;

I can recollect she has kajal and eyelashes and light pink lip color;

Her skin was not fair but little light brownish.

She looked at me absently and I with the intention that she caught

And thus starting the hide and seek.

We steal, we make excuse to look at each other;

It feels a jiffy bliss watching her smile and the locks falling, meanwhile,–

Covering her bright sparkling eyes.

We don’t know each other, but, still, we smile at each other

Looking at each other eyes boldly yet stealthily.
