A October Rain Poem

English rendition of অনুসরণ [Posted 9th October 2017]

City’s having a waltz with shower.

Evening ascended wetting loved lips

With calmwarmth.

In the alleysbylanes of this old city

We’re following paperboats.

Before rain drizzled,

Kerchief had wiped off signs of love

And had been thrown away.

In this mad city, by the road,

I’ve had something to share with you

But, couldn’t for the hastiness, ours.

You’ve to returned to your family

And I’ve to be the torrential

On the doors of your closed windows.

  1. I liked the last two lines.
Her returning to her family and the image of the ‘he’ at the doors of closed windows.
    Very deep and meaningful 🙂
