A Letter from the Author’s Desk

Dear Reader(s),

This November, Thoughts of Words will be completing its 2nd year.

It’s a journey like that of self-discovery. Back in 2016 when I started sharing my thoughts through my poems they were mostly dark and melancholy. I used to write once or twice a week before becoming a regular and then again becoming irregular. I should stop here because this post is not about this journey but to declare.

For the last two years, 2017 and 2018, I have participated in National Poem Writing Month (NaPoWriMo), and I like the process of writing a new poem each day on a new theme or new prompts. The journey that I started to gain popularity makes me realized popularity is like the fizz of a soda or any cold beverages, and I learned a lot. I’ll talk on this one day soon.

I knew of this National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) long before I knew of NaPoWriMo. For last few years I tried to participate in this event but I never because I was lazy to participate. But, this year I am going to participate. Because I want to tell my story(ies) to a lot, and Thoughts taught me in this 2-year journey sharing is the best way to let people know of you and heard of you.

NaNoWriMo starts tomorrow on 1st November and the objective is to write 1,666 words each day, daily, in the month of November; at the end, it will be of 50,000 words in total. My objective is to write daily like I do in April for NaPoWriMo. This word count is not the main objective; instead, it will be writing daily irrespective of how many words I have written.

Now the plot of the novel is there will be no plot actually. It will be a sort of fix-up novels where I am going to collect and stitch together ideas, thoughts, scenes, and notes of stories that I haven’t written or been playing for long in the mind place. Every day, in the month of November I am going to share whatever I write here in the Thoughts.

Hope to see your comments and reviews on each episode because that is what I value most. Wish me so that I can complete a novel-writing in a month.
