National Poem Writing Month 2021: Poem v: Apart

Inspired by … you to find a poem, and then write a new poem that has the shape of the original, and in which every line starts with the first letter of the corresponding line in the original poem.

Base Poem Inspired by “Across” by Vikram Seth

Apart we decided; making us to forgetting each other

Memories that we share will be fodder of some

Monsoon, it may be or may be any other season,

Marooned noon when there will rain drizzling.

May be we will not meet again or might not recollect

What we had shared or what are our likings are.

The path to those days have lost. We now live in the same city

In miles as strangers should be, like we had been long ago.
