National Poem Writing Month 2021: Poem ix: Mycroft

Inspired by … write a poem in the form of a “to-do list.” The fun of this prompt is to make it the “to-do list” of an unusual person or character.

Blood flow north to south or south to north;

Face was licking dust or blowing raspberry…

Lot’s of question,

lot’s of theories…

lot’s of fieldwork…

Need to telegram Sherlock…Diogenes Club…

No…an evening stroll to Baker Street…

But should telegram Doctor…or no…

Let’s keep this aside for the moment.

What’s this…a telegram…

Duke of Bakerville needs ride for dinner with Duke of Mortary…

Sherlock in danger. Moriarty on heel.

Disguise for brougham driver all I need

And handsome horses for the ride.
