National Poem Writing Month 2021: Poem xix: Quarrel

Written for Day 19 of National Poem Writing Month 2021 where prompt is …  to write a humorous rant. In this poem, you may excoriate to your heart’s content all the things that get on your nerves.

Mi dear quarrel digger, the owner of the house was surprised

By hearing another-man’s voice in our house.

Screaming and shouting scaring the crow couple dancing and–

Romancing on the electric wire.

I have to assure him that it was me no one else and he–

Was surprised because I am like the mute-sadhu to him

Whose voice couldn’t be hard over days.

Mi dear sun, you turn the warm summer morn hotter that it shall be.

Your soft and tender voice makes you Bianca Castafiore

Exciting the calmness of the serenity of the room and stop the–

finding-way-home Cuckoo–as if you’re a competitor to it.

Mi dear Lady, how much we screamed crossing–

The tenor and soprano in the end you can’t bid if you want

Neither do I–we are like the storm and rain raging together–

For the gifting calmness later and the posit havoc.
