based on a prompt written by Jacqueline Saphra, and featured in this group of prompts published back in 2015 by The Poetry Society of the U.K. This prompt challenges you to write a poem in the form of a series of directions
…
Row, row down the stream
Sing softly to rhythm of the oar.
Bow, bow down seeing the shore
Whisper lowly, no one should see.
Take a vault or make a jump
When the forest is near.
Hop and jump on the boulders.
Inhale, exhale, take a deep breath
The steps of stars beckoning you
To the path made of the light of moon.
Row, bow, leaving a deep breath
Drawing the last line of the poem.
April wind will sound melancholy,
Mundane and daily life echo around
With the sun rising behind the haven of mine
